college baseball

Omaha is arguably the best tournament in American sports. Love the Troy story but give me Georgia or Texas to win.
That Georgia/Mississippi State game yesterday was awesome.

Rooting for West Virginia here, one of my sons old pitching training buddies from his summer/fall club is a freshman there.

In my mind, the CWS is easily the most underrated college sports scene in existence. Why this event isn’t a bigger deal is beyond me. The top-of-the-page toolbar at espn.com doesn’t even contain a direct college baseball link right now. I’ll never understand.

Yup...we just didn't have the starting pitching this round, got to us early and often. Scolari threw 96 pitches (6 walks) in less than four innings in the opener and then Sanford 96 pitches (5 walks) in just over 3 innings in game two...o_O
My son blames our bullpen , either way , it was a good season , won a regional and ended the BEAVS season……

Horn's had to dig deep last night...

I'm fortunate that I'm only 2 hours from Omaha. Its been fun being able to attend most years with my 2 sons. Great atmosphere. fairly easy to get around. Downtown Omaha good places to eat. I would recommend getting seats in the shade under the upper deck. You roast to death on those metal bleachers in the outfield.

Absolutely. As someone who grew up going to the CWS annually, I get goosebumps just walking in. The environment, the passion, the leave-it-all-out-there mentality is second to none. If you go, take a day and go see the zoo. Its number one in the world for a reason. I haven’t been to the CWS for a number of years due to moving out of state but I might make it this year.

I live less than 5 minutes from it. Was less than 2 miles before they moved from Rosenblatt. It’s not the same since it moved, I enjoy watching it from the comfort of my chair in the A/C. No shortage of good steak houses in the area; for the money, I prefer the roadhouse lol.
