CO leftovers

Quick question.

I was looking at the goat "leftovers" as well as the surface ownership maps. Sure looks like there are a lot of tags in the SE with not much hunt-able public ground.

Any suggestions? Have my NM goat hunt next weekend, didn't draw an elk so I might as well see if I can make this my goat year.

See if this info will help you Mark? I think you haveta purchase a special permit, then gain access / ask permission, then you should be set? I have not done this, but thought about it.

The Comanchee National Grasslands have alot of public land available in the SE corner. It's archery season right now with OTC tags. Some of the grasslands do have private land and ranches, but there is an aweful lot of public land available.
