Have shot 3 myself. Accompanied my brother on 3 other hunts. 5 OF 6 of these hunts were over by noon the first day. The other hunt my brother had knocked down a nice bull and we spent 6 hours tracking him down. Never got him but shot a nice cow the next morning.

If you stuck to a 1 day hunt, there is still a good chance. Shoot the first nice animal you see. Lots of oryx, you can pass on one and have a reasonable chance at another. Enough rifle and shot placement are the key. Every one I have shot has been knocked down and stood up again. tough animal.
