Cast iron part II.

I, too, used an angle grinder on a pan. My grandmother's old 11-inch iron fry pan. It was not rusty; it had been in use for over 100 years. For the last 50 years, by me. I got a glass-top stove 6 years ago. The pan was getting SO crusted on the outside that I was afraid it would scratch the top.
I took it down to shiny iron inside and out. Then retreated it in my oven three times and WOW as good as new...
My granddaughter has already made her claim on the pan.
