Same here but I wish I'd have done it earlier and saved myself tens of thousands in factory guns that don't get used...

Got the barrel cut to length, crowned, and threaded 5/8-24 3A. Screwed on and timed the APA brake. Double checked that the barrel bore was concentric and then bored out the muzzle brake to .328". Tapered the back end of the brake and blended it with the barrel. Added a small chamfer to the front. APA left a hard corner there for some reason.
I also cut a stub gauge with the length of barrel I cut off. They're pretty handy for reloading.
I've got a little bit of body work left to do on the stock to have it paint ready. The barreled action is ready for it's new engraving then it'll get a fresh bead blast finish.

Spent most of the day cleaning up the shop, managed to get some laser work done.
Since I recut the receiver threads I engraved the new size on the bottom.
I added a witness mark to the bottom of the muzzle brake to aid in getting it oriented correctly after any future removal.

Twist rate and reciever thread engraving is something that will be appreciated by the owner and anyone who might inherit that rifle. Good idea!

Some things don't photograph well. Jewelling is one of them.
