Actually, I think it is democracy at its purest... no primaries limiting the candidates. Whoever wants to, and thinks they can do the job, can run. I wish we had the ability to do referendums on a Federal level to create new legislation. We could then do a Proposition to eliminate the Federal retirement program for elected officials, and make them do the 401K or Social Security thing for retirement. You know the fat cats in Washington will never get rid of their high dollar pensions for life for serving one term in office.
