No sheep tag for me :( , deer point. Waiting for elk draw I have max points.

Got skunked this year for all my apps. Got a point though!:D However, there were 150 tags left for A18 (X9c), so, I snatched up one of those. Although the stats don't look real promising, I'm hopeful. I'll be up there scouting about 4 days before opener at about 10,000-11,000 feet. Fingers crossed.

That is a good tag.
I hunted X9c a couple times. Mostly around the White Mtns. & east.
Good Luck & Good Hunting!

Just got off the phone with the Biologist who handles the area I've been scouting online. He's telling me there are some monster mulies up there. The drawback, because of the terrain, taking them with archery equipment is very difficult. He tells me, currently, the herd is looking OK, and, is interspersed with a good number of Bighorn Sheep. I think he mentioned there were roughly 50 in the White Mountain area. But that would be a hike from the Barcroft gate.

I'm going to be up there about 4-5 days early, scouting elevations from 8000 to 11000 feet. We'll see what happens.

Good glassing spot from the top of the White Mtns....lol
The Bristlecone Pine forest is worth the trip alone.Methusila tree is oldest living thing.
Took a buck off there in 80's. Rifle, Inyo Muley.
