I prefer my 7mm rem mag.

Definitely .243 or other 6mm cartridge like the 6cm.
The .223 can't compare in the wind past 400yrds.
I would be reloading, but if not, the factory match ammo available should be a deciding factor.

My plate gun is a bushy target model/223. 75gr hornady bthp. Most of the other guys shoot 6.5cm. The hits are audible at 700 with wind so I’m not complaining.
