Would love to talk to anyone who drew one of the 10 central coast tule elk tags last year. Or anyone with knowledge about this tule elk hunt. Considering this unit and was hoping for some additional info. Thanks

Many of those will require private land access. Fort Hunter Liggett is a military base so DIY is an option there.

Your best bet in that region is to find an outfitter you like and apply on their recommendations. They may also try to sell you a PLM hunt which is the expensive express lane.

Hi Buzzy, Congrats! Nice bull.
I drew the #376 bull tag for 2025. I would very much like to chat with you about your previous hunt and the Camp Roberts Progtam.
Thanks, Jim

Well as of the draw deadline CR would not commit to allowing the Elk hunt to happen this year. If they don’t allow hunting this year you will have to pay big $$$ for a hunt on private.

As noted earlier, many of the elk will be hunkered down on private land. FHL has its own specific elk tag draw. Camp Roberts is currently on hunt shutdown due to military activity on the base.
