budget turkey scope

What is a good turkey scope on a budget? I'd like to stay under 100 if possible. Ive been looking at the truglo gobble stopper, and the bushnell trs25. Any suggestions? It will be goin on a 3.5 so it needs to be tough, one reason I didn't want to spend to much in case I need to replace it.

I have a TRS25, but not on a turkey gun. I've been pleased with it for my uses so far. I think it would do well on a turkey gun. That said, I think I'd want a circle reticle for turkeys over a dot.

PS- Not spending much in case you need to replace it increases your chances of having to replace it.

Ive got the Gobble Stopper and love it. The only things i dont like is the fact you have to rely on a battery. I make sure to always have a spare in case i accidentally leave the scope on after a day of hunting. Also you have to monitor the brightness of the scope often to adjust to the sunlight or else you cannot see the ring in the scope. With that being said it is very accurate and i feel very confident with it when a turkey gets into range. I think you would be happy with it also if you make sure to pay attention to the points above.

Gobble Stopper is a decent scope for sure, like some have said, always carry a spare battery. I have the TRU GLO with a multi reticle, multi color, on my "home defense" shotgun I just built and I love it. Good luck.

Remember, you're trying to shoot a bird at a maximum distance of 40 yards not 400. Is the reason you need a scope because you aren't able to maintain accuracy out to the maximum range of the gun/load you are using?

Just something to make sure I'm on target, gonna be shooting a tighter choke with not as much forgiveness. I don't necessarily have to have one, but will be nice to have one.

Skip the scope ! It will slow you down. Pattern ur gun with open sights or a fiber-optic bead only. Many times u have to shoot from funny angles or positions. A scope might impair that. Plus turkey guns kick like a mule ! I wouldnt want that scope hitting me. I have no prob shooting out to 60 yds w my factory beads.

One of the cheap, less than $50 red dots would work great. I put one on my 870 for a slug hunt and liked it enough to just leave it on there. The mounting bracket cost more than the scope.
