I scheduled a bucket list trip to Texas, to start on February 17 with the idea of hunting in some nice weather. Boy, did I miscalculate! The last 100 miles were on glare ice. The first 2 days - no electricity, no water, one little tiny propane heater to heat the entire house. The only thing I had to eat was some jerky and a bag of chips. On the high side, I was successful, with lots of interesting stories.

The paid weather guessers got it right. Power providers not so much. Let’s hear the stories.

Sounds like normal WY hunting to me ;-)

Congrats on the success!

Nice pictures!

Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area is reporting that they lost almost 50% of their Waterbuck, 20% of the Gemsbok Oryx and 10-15% of the Scimitar-Horned Oryx and Axis deer during the cool down.
