ya its gonna get interesting for sure if it actually goes thru....i still think theres a slim chance it'll happen.
what the Board of Game is saying is that if the concession stuff don't happen, they'll limit non resident hunting opportunity to ten percent, which is the legal amount the state is obligated to offer.
So you'll see ALOT of restricted drawings for non residents instead of the nice over the counter hunts you see now. so from a non resdient and resident stand point...the concession SHOULD go thru..it'll secure open opportunity...draw hunts will still spike the price anyway. it'll be a mess for a while.

I don't really see why the residents would want the concessions to go through. If the concessions don't go through, residents will have much more opportunity at tags. They will have fewer non-resident hunters in their hunting areas. Resident guides will not be forced out of business by the state, but rather will have the opportunity to survive by offering a superior product.

if the concession go thru.....there will be limited hunting pressure as the guides with concession permits will be limited to the number of clients they can take...so alot of area that is now crowded will all of a sudden be open, less non residents in the field.
If they go drawing it would only be for non resident hunters, probably for everything, including caribou and moose, so then it'd be tough for resdients to take outa state family member out on hunts and all the guides would still be in business and probably trying to flood the drawings to pull a couple tags to keep their head above water..it'd get cut throat then...
concession would mean fewer guides, fewer clients, more avaiable country to hunt with less hunting pressure, more air taxi's that aren't sold out to a guide and trying to keep and area private..so better access to some areas that are "sealed up" so to speak.
