Sad deal and way too young. True public land advocate and an example of doing things the right way. Had the tenacity to put it on the line for what he believed.

He leaves quite a legacy. It isn't fair he did not get to enjoy his accomplishment many more years.

Didn’t realize the area he was from. I spent a lot of time there, and there is a healthy amount of National Forest around his hometown. Hopefully his contribution benefits the people and places closer to his home rather than just the western states he visited.
