Anybody have the bog pod tripod? Was thinking of getting one and am curious if anyone has one and how they like it. My only concern is that it is a bit heavy. probably wouldnt take it on a deep back country hunt...

Yes, I have one. I don’t have a left hand to hold a traditional bi-pod and I’m not fond of the ones attached to the rifle so the bog-pod is the way I went. Works great! I’ve used it with my rifle and my crossbow. The adjustable legs are nice and the numbers on the legs ensure you can get it to your favorite setting quickly. It isn’t the lightest thing in the world but it is an essential piece of equipment for me if I plan on a long shot.

I guided elk and deer hunters last fall and a few of my clients had the BogPod and Primos Trigger sticks. I thought they were heavy and bulky. I carry Stoney Point shooting sticks; they are lighter and collapse down and fit in a backpack. After using mine, my hunters agreed.
