Blue Grouse

[Lone Star Outdoors Show]

Made two trips to New Mexico this year. One specifically for grouse and the other for mule deer. Found plenty of them on both trips. We managed 18 between 4 hunters over 2 days of hard hunting. Found most of them around 11,500 feet or higher. Right at the timber line.

.22s and shotguns. No dogs. Correct?

No dogs. They would def help up there though. Plan on taking my 2 year old lab next time. And we were using 12 gauges except for one guy who brought a .22
