Update on the deer hunt. I had a chance to kill a decent 5x4 whitetail with my 1957 built Savage 99F chambered in .300 Savage. I snuck up on him in his bed at 15 yards, I just couldn't pass him up. So no Mule Deer buck again for me this year but I took a Whitetail which I very much prefer anyways.
