Y'all know where some Po' Boy Black Bucks might be available?

Does, management hunts, etc.........

I know some, one place with lots of $100 does. Two possibilities with bucks, if you want to do it, both free ranging, one has axis bucks too. They give such good deals, I feel obligated to take someone who really wants one, not just a looker. The landowners would not let me take people, if I didn't do it that way. They deserve the peace of mind on their property too, for giving good deals. Both these places have some older landowners, who give a good deal to a serious hunter and want peace of mind. They are a deal, if you want a nice record book blackbuck or just some does, and can come when they have some. They'd tell me if they have been seeing some good ones, then we'd set it up and go after them.

For the dollar per pound I'd suggest you forget about hunting blackbucks and try for an axis meat hunt. There's just not much meat in a blackbuck doe after you have boned it all out. Even less than some of the Texas Hill country does that I have seen! You'll get a LOT more meat on an axis deer and one of the prettiest hides you have ever seen. The hunts are a little more but its worth it for what you get and I personally think the meat is a lot better.

I know a really good place in Eden, Texas where you can get an Axis buck meat hunt(yearling) for $350.

You may be able to find some axis does for around $150-$250. The bucks will have more meat however and at some ranches you can get a price break if you kill 2 or more.

I was looking for something "a little different". I already have two Axis bucks, from Hawaii. Hmm, maybe a Fallow?

I don't know of any fallow meat hunts but Tom might.

I could never get tired of Axis meat and the beautiful hides. Its one of my favorites and so much better than a whitetail.
