Because I feel like bragging on the successful part of my Co elk hunting trip, which was the fly fishing afterwards lol! Stopped by the Poudre and managed to hit a short hatch of mayflies and then a longer midge hatch. Had a blast catching a couple nice browns and a beautiful cutthroat!
Was a great time on the water and really reignited my excitement for fly fishing and has gotten me to do more back here in Va with me already hitting the Shenandoah twice for smallmouth since I’ve been back! Of course it also is going to cost me money, since I’m back in the market looking for a couple new rods to really specialize in smallmouth and the trout here.
