Best things in Livingston, MT

Probably one of the best high end gun shops in Montana. It is in Wolf’s Mercantile on Main Street a couple blocks south of Park Street.

They have a generous supply of Rigby rifles and other extremely nice guns…

Seems like there are quite a few Montanan's on this forum, what are the top things you'd do if you were visiting Livingston for a day? Talking strictly in town.
Well I designed the waste water plant, so take a tour of that stinky girl.

I honestly don't know what else do there, only ever visited the plant... 😂

I always enjoy grabbing a pizza from Rosa's. Not what I'd call a must see place, just good pizza. Usually get it to go and keep trucking west to the hunting grounds

Kinda looking for the hot spots for bars and restaurants? Anything worth while?
The Old Saloon in Emigrant opened in like 1903 or something. Its pretty cool. Lots of big horns to look at in there. Not sure when your going, but they get some good music acts in there.

It just sold recently and the owner took the ram mounts with him. Still have a good music lineup for this summer.

(Tourist) Shops and bars. That’s pretty much it, as had been mentioned.

I like The Mint for food and cocktails. Neptunes (the brewery on L NOT the restaurant downtown) has a beer garden with food truck that’s good. The Murray also has good food and cocktails, especially since the new ownership came in. If your looking for fancy meal, Second Street Bistro is better than Campione IMO. You can also go to Marks In And Out for burgers - they are basically glorified McDonald’s burgers but it’s nostalgic (or something).

Dan Baileys is still there, kinda - it was bought and is less fly fishing focused and more general outdoor clothing now.

If you’re limited to town there isn’t much. Bring a fishing rod and walk down to the river.

I don't mind Livingston. It's too close to Bozeman, and the Paradise Valley to the south is increasingly Montana paved over by tourism, but HWY 89 will take you to some cool country north of town.
Spot on. And, with the Yellowstone Club's purchase of Crazy Mountain Ranch, the Shields Valley is headed in much the same direction as Paradise Valley and Gallatin Valley. The old family ranches are being bought by the billionaires as they become available.

Im trying to think of fun places where there aren't too many tourists....

But you might check out the museum.
Neptune Brewery/ Murray good for local color, trendsters. Good variety of shops, covers the spectrum of bougie to bohemian.
I'll second Neptune's Tap House and Brewery. Serve good food, as well.
