Bear River unit Idaho

Any tips on hunting the area? Are there lots of hunters? Are there any roadless areas? Thx

Have heard of wolves north of Soda Springs in the Diamond Creek zone, not sure if they have spread south or not.

I would look elsewhere for elk. It's a very tough unit and there are bunch of better places for elk, even still in the SE Region. My wife had a 78 moose tag there last year so we spent 30-40 days scouting/hunting and only saw one mature bull elk. It just doesn't support the numbers that other parts of Idaho do.

She did. She even got a full page color picture of it in this year's B&C Awards Book so she's high as a kite.
