Bear results are in!!!!

The results are in on our bear skulls. Some of you were interested in the scores when we got our skulls back so here they are. My bear measured 18 6/8" and my wife's bear measured 18 2/8". Montana B&C needs a minimum of 19". I will try to add pictures to go with this post, so hopefully they will attach. The video is also on www.youtube.com. Here's the link for the video.

If the video link doesn't work, just goto www.youtube.com and search, "Montana 2009 spring bear". Remember, I shot my bear one evening and my wife got her's the next. We would have been happy with anything, but we were fortunate enough to both take big boars the same weekend.

I think I better have the skulls measured by an official, they both seem very close to the Montana minimum. It's funny because her bear was bigger than mine, but my skull was bigger. FINALLY!!!!, I got something bigger than my wife..........

I don't see why they wouldn't....Call and talk to the biologist, I'm sure they can do something for you. Looks like a fun hunt. Great bears.

Thanks.... I called FWP and they gave me a number of a local guy that can do the official score. I don't know if it costs $ or not though. I also have our elk from last season to measure. I don't think I'll put anything in the books, cause all that costs more $, but I would like to know the official measurements because they were our biggest elk last season and these were our largest bears. It's turned into more of a friendly competition between my wife and myself now....

Man those are some nice bears and beautiful color!
I think it is great that your wife hunts with you. Not many will do that. My wife will go with me but she is not as addicted as I am. I don`t push her though. I want her to go and enjoy when she wants and we have the best time.
