Basic Map Skills for Western Hunting - YouTube

Like I said in a previous thread, I said we would start doing some segments that help people who are new to hunting, or maybe experienced hunters but new to the western public land hunting gig. One of the most basic skills needed in the west is map reading. I hope people get some benefit from this video, whether they are experienced of just starting.

We probably could have cut this into two different videos, so I apologize that it might be a bit long (8 minutes).

Just watched. Great video. What's the best place to get the paper maps from. I have the onxmaps but the paper seems like a great way to go over plans in the truck and with hunting buddies.

Google Bureau of Land Management in the state you want to go to and then give them a call, you can order the paper maps and they will mail them to you for like $4.00 apeice
