I try to watch it and the pacific once a year. It makes me genuinely sad that the wwII boys are almost gone. Pretty soon kids will never have had the chance met someone who experienced the war.

I love that series. I’m stationed in the Netherlands so I have visited Normandy once and Bastogne three times. One of those visits included the Easy Company fox holes during the same window as the battle in December with it cold and snow covered. It really made me realize how miserable that battle would have been. Those were some tough SOBs back then!
