B-17 and B-25 coming to Missoula

July 15-20 a B-25 and a B-17 will be at the Missoula airport for rides and plane tours. They are from Mesa Az and flown by CAF pilots. Two great planes of WWll fame and history.
Do you know which ones?

B-17 is Sentimental Journey...four Wright R1820 engines with 1200HP each
B-25 is Maid in the shade....two Wright R-2600 engines with 1700HP each

Yes you can fly in them for about a half hour! I have flown in both. Up front in the bombardier position with only Plexiglas to stop incoming shells, not good for the poor flyboys in WWll.
I also flew in the same spot and rotated with others in the jump seats of the B-25.

Google Commemorative Air force Mesa Az and they should have times and dates to book flights.

Used to always go see the “Confederate Airforce” in Hondo, Tx when I was a kid. They would put on a show every year, reenacting Pearl Harbor n Midway
Good stuff!!

Successful Bitcoin Recovery with Fastfund Recovery Service.

I never thought I’d recover the $367,222 worth of Bitcoin I lost to an online trading scam. It was one of the most stressful and painful experiences of my life — watching my funds disappear with no way to trace or retrieve them.
After doing extensive research, I came across Fastfund Recovery Service, and I can confidently say they exceeded all expectations. From the start, their team demonstrated deep expertise in blockchain forensics, cyber investigation, and asset tracing. They handled my case with professionalism, discretion, and constant communication.
In just a few weeks, Fastfund was able to successfully trace and recover the full amount of my stolen Bitcoin. Their process was secure, transparent, and fully legal. I was kept informed at every stage and never felt left in the dark.
If you’ve been a victim of crypto fraud, I highly recommend Fastfund Recovery Service. They are legitimate, trustworthy, and they get results.

You can actually fly in one? I am only an hour away. mtmuley

Wings of Freedom Tour! That’s Awesome!

I got to fly in a B17 - talk about when Men were MEN! As we flew around for 30 minutes, I got to walk around the inside of the plane, including an open bomb-bay door, (*it was roped off), sit in the forward gunner turret, play with the mounted 50 cal port-guns and watch the rivets rattling in their ever enlarging holes.

LOUDEST flight I’ve ever been on and I was wearing earplugs!

Crazy awesome flight and one of the best presents my beloved Wife ever got me. HIGHLY recommended!

My son was/is very into WW2 planes and history. In 2022 when he was 12, we bought him a flight on the “Texas Raiders” B-17 with the Confederate/Commemorative Airforce - he loved it and really got along well with the crew. Unfortunately, the whole crew was killed in a mid-air collision in Dallas a couple months later; it hit my son pretty hard as he was saving up to fly with them again.

Anyways, seeing the old WW2 planes is very cool, would highly recommend.

My grandfather bombed Germany 35 times as tailgunner in a B-17. I’ve stopped to see B-17s whenever I could. I’ve sat in the tailgunner seat a few times. I always look at the hatch remembering his story of throwing the hatch away to follow the bombs down when the bomber was on fire. Co pilot yelled over the intercom not to bail that the fire was out. The crew limped back to Suffolk in a bomber that would be scrapped for parts. Amazing men.

My dad and I went up in Sentimental Journey at an air show. Cool.

Side note. The bow gun in a PBR was the roof turret from B-17's. Minus the windscreen.

I rode the Duece for a tour and a half.

Good stuff rt there!! That was a yearly deal when I was a kid!!! Dove hunting at my cousin’s n watch that at the little Hondo airport!!

Just went to check this out with my boys. Unfortunately only the B-25 made the trip because the B-17 had mechanical problems. It was still interesting, but the B-17 would have been much cooler. Cost of the ground tour was $10 per person or $20 for a family of 4. Several men there to answer my questions.
