Was up around Payson AZ this weekend. Didnt see squat. No sign , scat , nada. I was there more for moral support as I didnt have a tag. To many dirt bikers and nature lovers. Never been to that part of the state before. Beautiful country.

What area are you planning to hunt? The White Mt's are Awesome!!! Huge bears around there.
We were near christopher creek. I dont know the area. I was just a tag along. Actually went up to pick up a pup from a friend. He had a bear tag and I was just gunna shoot a yote if they showed up while we were calling. Should have left my ammo and gun at home. Beautiful place though.

not planning to hunt the w/m this year i am hunting the young area last year had my daughters b/f on his first big game hunt (turkey)an seen a few bears there

christopher creek is a nice area but never seen any bear in that area
seen a quit a few around the boy scot camp off the control road
