Arizona excursion 2023

Ill try to keep this post as live as I can. We picked up 2 Pennsylvania buddies at the tuscon airport on the way in and we received them but we didn't load any gear into the truck as all of their gear was still in Chicago. We greeted them nicely tho and it made them feel a little better.

Got settled into our humble abode yesterday afternoon. Shot bows and made simple frozen pizzas for dinner, played some euchre, and watched the college football playoff.
We have a nice glassing perch on top of the abode.

2 of our local buddies filled their 2022 tags over the last couple days before we arrived.

Stormy today. Glassed until dark with jason while just cruising some back roads checking some new areas. The rest of the guys relaxed.

The gear arrived late this afternoon. Hallajaua!!! The airline sent an independent contractor to deliver it to the abode.

Sunrise this morning.
Saw 3 bucks this morning two guys were at full draw, but did not shoot. To much brush for ethical shots.

Yea we got sick of hauling a trailer with all the camp cooking gear, tents, lanterns, etc. So we went the airbnb route this year. So far we are happy with the decision.

Tomorrow we will have everyone hunting one area that consists of about 7000 acres. Lots of glassing and coin flips for who gets to try the stalks when a buck is spotted. I'm the only guy in the crew focusing on coues so I'll be solo at least in the morning cause none of these turds will hike where I need to go. If I cant successfully glass any up by noon I'll head over and hunt the evening with the crew. Or I'll call it a day and go watch Penn state beat Utah in the rose bowl and get dinner prepped. Stay tuned in the morning for failed stalks and pics of shit that pokes ya.

Met the last guy in the crew this morning and loaded up and headed to the glassing points.
Brian and his son are currently on a stalk for a 4x4 and a javalina that's near the deer.

Literally at least two or three times a week my two year old leaves me a surprise in my work boots. You just never know, might be a matchbox car might be a pickle.

Also the sign is hilarious.

Well the other guys are seeing quite a few deer. 1 failed stalk so far is what I gather from the text messages they sent. I'm still glassing away with no luck yet. I know there has got to be a deer in one of these cuts. Long hike to be blanked.
