Was anyone quick enough to get a permit this year? The almost 2800 tags were sold out in 4 MINUTES.
I was just quick enough to get my self and my dad one.

Word on the street is the AO tag will be a draw for NR’s next year. We’ll see. If it does, they’ll be better odds, as most NR’s won’t burn their points for that tag.
I’m still salty for azgf paying influencers to help kill the otc deer hunt.

I’m heading back this winter for my 10th or 11th archery javelina hunt and this is the first time the unit I like didn’t have a bunch of leftover tags

yeah, in hindsight that was an all-time bad move. Also, allowing tag holder to report a harvest without a physical report. I'm still convinced anti-hunters are buying these permits and just closing down units. I've never seen more than one hunter in the unit i go to - most years we're the only deer hunters, and yet somehow the last couple years the quota is filled before january begins... I'll never be convinced otherwise.

I was on a committee that looked into that exact theory. There was actually no factual data to suggest that.

The biggest thing I've seen is people are now shooting 50+ yards on deer. The challenge to get within 50 is massive compared to the 100-50 yard range.
