This year my dad and I drew area 6 which I was lucky enough to draw last year as well. We got out a little late this year and were not able to camp in our normal area as it was already occupied by 3 trailers and 4 trucks with plenty of ATV's. Saw a good amount of deer on the first day but nothing like the numbers of last year. On day two located some bucks early in the morning but they headed for the thick aspens and were not in an area to be able to put a sneak on them. While switching areas we glassed up 5 bucks in a canyon that was a little better to put a stalk on. After 2 stalks that I was unable to get inside of 70 yards we found some larger bucks off the edge of the ridge. While sneaking in on the two larger 4x4 bucks about 50 yds away I came upon a buck bedded in the bush I was trying to get to in order to get a shot on the larger bucks. Standing 15 yds away from the bedded buck he turned and looked up the hill and spotted me. He got up and slowly back and forth moved down the hill trying to get the wind or visually figure out what I was. Moving out to about 40yds he stood broadside with a small bush covering the vital areas, so I took a chance and moved about 3 feet to my left i order to open a shooting lane to the buck. Luck was on my side this day as the buck did not spook when I made this move and stayed at 40 yds. 10 minutes later I watched the buck fall at the bottom of the canyon. Super excited to get the meat for the table for my wife and I and our friends as well as having a successful hunt with my Dad.

Should work on chrome as they are stored on Google. Odd, sorry about that will get them in thread as I have more time. Leaving to help a buddy on a hunt Thursday in the rubies.
