Well I blew a shot at the biggest buck I have ever drawn an arrow on. He wasn't B&C, but he was very nice. PO'ed, I left the mountain and picked up my pup from jail. Had a hard time sleeping last night, but figured an upland hunt with my bud would help.

We hit the first spot and I pulled off a double. A little later I flushed another covey and although I cut a few feathers, nothing fell (seemed to be the story of the weekend):BLEEP:

Hopefully I will be thankful that I didn't get that buck this early in the season and all in all, I had a fun day with my favorite hunting bud. He did a great job and listened well. Maybe next time my shooting will be better and he will get some more action.

I may just resent that remark! Congrats on the birds. And Axl is looking quite pleased with himself.
