I recently came across the Paria Thermodown 0° sleeping bag online, and it seems like a pretty solid value, and well as being on the lighter side and packs down nicely for backpack hunting. Does anyone have experience with this bag, or a similar model from Paria? Basically I want to make sure it’s not too good to be true for the price

I’ve heard mostly positive things about the Thermodown series. The general consensus seems to be that Paria offers excellent value for the money you get quality down, decent construction, and good packability without paying premiumbrand prices. The main trade-off is usually a bit of extra weight and slightly less refined fit and finish compared to brands like Western Mountaineering or Feathered Friends. If the 0° rating is accurate for your needs, it seems like a solid choice for backpack hunting. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who’s put one through a few cold nights in the field.

Appreciate your help!

I picked up one of these back in February and used it on a 1 night camping trip in the mountains here in New Mexico. The overnight temps dipped into the mid-teens and I stayed plenty warm. I tend to sleep on the cold side, but the bag performed great for me (along with some long johns). It packs down reasonably small and the loft of the down is great. I've used it a few more times in warmer temps as well. It's a comfortable bag for me and I'm happy with the purchase.
