Any interest in an actual hunting thread ?

Food poisoning sucks !
We got Subway the night before our fishing trip and put them in the hotel fridge .
Turns out the fridge wasn’t working but we didn’t realize it till we checked out today.
I’m deathly ill , the wife , not even fazed by it , she has a cast iron stomach.

Cancelled the rapids , taking a sick day .
Tune in tomorrow for more fun filled adventures. 😝

No moose was harmed in the making of this thread , dammit!
What a blast though , Meekins was great , and I could not be happier, well except for killing a moose .
I kind of looked at it like a camping with a rifle after James had to cancel .
The moose were there , just not where I could get to , or get it out if I did get one .
Setting in the Anchorage airport , I’ll update later .IMG_2551.jpegIMG_2470.jpegIMG_2537.jpegIMG_2534.jpeg

Just ordered the CVA endura Lrh from muzzleloader.com. Top notch service Everytime I deal with them. They also price matched the gun! Any thoughts on this muzz?

So I plan on doing a float hunt in the brooks range in a few years. It’s unguided through an outfitter. The two main ones they offer is moose or caribou. This will be my first time in Alaska. So what would you guys recommend chasing I’d be stoked to shoot either. While a part of me really wants a moose I’ve heard a lot of people say caribou is a better hunt for first timers. What’s all your guys input on it?

I am in the planning stages for a Alaska hunt , my first , should I post about it or shall we continue the veiled political posts ?

My wife and I hope to fly up in the middle of August and spend some time fishing and sightseeing for a couple weeks . Then she will fly home while me and a friend fly into the bush for ten days . I have the tag and transport all lined up , just more ideas about what NOT to bring , LOL .
I'm the over packing kind of guy .

Any interest ?
Short answer, yes
