Any hockey fans out there?

The Toronto Maple Leafs are just like the Titanic. They crash once they hit the ice and are at the bottom of the Atlantic. I love listening to talk radio saying the sky is falling over them

Anyone else catch Tampa Bay and Boston playing Sunday night?
The theatrics and production of it was a bit much, but it was a wildly fun game to watch.
This about sums it up perfectly.

It was a clown show, but better than watching the NBA, I suppose. Goalie fight and the actual game were good, though.

Outdoor games should be confined to Canada and Minnesota. I could be sold on Boston. We grew up with Outdoor rinks as the Default in MN. Even these days that is long gone, but it’s just so gimmicky in warm weather locales.

Dang it, I was hoping Tampa got beat to help out the Redwings, who were annihilated on Saturday by those Avs. It would be nice to see Detroit make it to the playoffs this year, they have been absent long enough.

Ya, the game in Tampa was a joke. We north of the border have to beg the league to get a game here, yet we fund more then a third of the league. The first qualification I think in order to host an outdoor game is that you must actually have snow

Watching a fight and a hockey game broke out. Panthers/Lightning...9 guys in the penalty box.😂
Lol, I got home just in time to see the refs tossing guys left and right.

At least the Over still hit :)

They’re fun to watch. It’s physically a different style of hockey compared to men, but it’s very high skill and fast paced.

Hope the men can keep taking care of business and building chemistry. Going to need to be firing on all cylinders to keep up with Canada.

Germany was fun to watch the other day as well. I like Stützle.

Hellebuck played the best game the USA has had in net since Jim Craig. Great roster construction by Bill G. They had the right mixture of offense/defense/special teams and everybody looked completely bought in and understood their role. Crazy that guys like Faber and Slavin and a few other that eat minutes at their day jobs and here they’re asked to play a much different role. A true team win.

The level of talent in this game was absolutely incredible. The best players in the world, all playing relatively healthy, for national pride.

Coolest part was the boys bringing Johnny Gaudreau’s kids out for the picture. That was pretty special.
Some backstory of some don’t know. Link

First Men’s Hockey Gold Medal in my lifetime. Awesome game!

It was really an exciting game to watch. An awful lot of skill in one place. I would guess McKinnon will have nightmares for a while after missing that open net and the save on Toes was incredible. That Celebrini kid has a great future ahead.

I was at the College Dave Christian played for when they won in 80. Pretty memorable, as was that college team. Won the natty that year and two years later as well. The old WCHA was an incredible amount of fun in those days.

The old WCHA was the best. So many heated rivalries. The break up was inevitable after Penn State got a team, but I still blame the gophers for the major college shake up.
