yeah, but there's still 2/3 of the season left in december + postseason. Personally, i'd love if the knights took a chance on Hart. They were proven Not Guilty, so they deserve a second chance. I feel bad for them, sounds like some drunk tried to ruin their careers (probably did ruin a couple of theirs) by having morning-after remorse.

Being found not guilty of a crime, ie the Crown not meeting the burden of proof, is not the same as not doing the thing, ie innocence. Crime or no crime, the league found their conduct bad enough to institute a punishment.

There has been considerable backlash on the decision in the case...welcome to the internet. Teams will need to decide if the potential fan reaction is worth signing any of these guys. Any honest discussion should probably revolve around believing in giving second chances or not.

Wow just saw that Barkov needed acl and mcl surgery yesterday from getting injured on Thursday. What a hit to that Florida club. I feel bad for him because he seems like a stand out guy that both fans and players love. I don't feel bad for Florida though, may they end up in last place!
