Let me start by giving my condolences on the lives lost this weekend in Toronto. Another senseless tragedy. Our hearts are heavy for your country and the victims.

I'm a huge gun enthusiast here in the US, but am ignorant to your gun laws. What in a nutshell is legal/ illegal in your country as far as semi autos, handguns, and magazine capacity?

Handguns are classified as restricted, only usable at gun ranges unless you have a special permit. Semi auto rifles are ok(at the moment) but with magazine restrictions. AR 15s and such(ie lots of "black guns") are restricted similar to handguns. I'd have to look up more specifics but thats it in a nutshell. I am sure our federal govt will take this opportunity to further tighten the noose on law abiding firearms owners. Already a statement form the toronto mayor for no guns within toronto.......
