Well, most of you know that I am a huge family guy, so the Fam. and I headed too do alittle more deer hunting, I purchased a non-resident deer tag too shoot a second deer and my wife still had her tag,

Day 1, Family and I went on a little cruse on the 4 wheeler too where we had seen a nice 2x3 which would be legal in the 2 point only season we were hunting. well luckily after about 1/2 hour after puting around we spotted him with 4 doe's, well this is where I was not very smart, we had put a new scope and such on our TC .270 and it has pretty high rings on it, and well I should have had here get accustomed too the gun, well I didn't and played a huge factor in not getting a shot at this deer that sat and looked at us for about 5 min., wife kept putting her cheek too hard down on the stalk and well saw black, anyway fast forward too the afternoon, had her get used too the gun again and shoot several times at about 150 yards, she had a better group than I...:W:

Day 2, Next morning was cold, 22 degree's out, so the family stayed at camp in the warm camper.... and I proceded too check out a different area, and just about 9 a.m. I came across 8 doe's and 2 bucks, so I stopped and they were fairly spooky so I decided too go after them with the rifle, got too the top of the ridge where they headed and spotted them in a low spot, got too about 100 yards and doe's got spooky again before I was ready, did that 2 more time's, than I lost them, so I headed back too the 4 wheeler very disguisted with myself for blowing an opportunity, well I figured they were still in the group of misquites, so i back tracked down the road, I found 2 sets of tracks crossing the road, so I turned around too follow the tracks and spotted a few does off too my left, tracks were going opposite way, so I snuck up too the doe's and saw that, those were the same one's that were with the 2 bucks, watched them feed for roughly 10 min. with out spotting the two bucks, so I thought too myself that the tracks crossing the road had too be the bucks, went back and still hunted through the mosquite tree's and after about 10 min. of silently walking I spotted them the same time they spotted me at 30 yards... they trotted toward a clearing so I trotted toward the clearing and I got too it as they were about half way across, which was only about 80 yards, found a nice tree limb, rested and found the buck in the scope and as he slowed I put it on the front of his shoulder, BOOM, dropped him in his tracks, and I was done, the great thing is that I have been trying too shoot a big two point in this unit for years and finally got what I consider a grand daddy two.....:D, the rest of the trip which was just the next morning came and went with no more sightings of any two points.... here is a pic or two....
