For a host of reasons, fall is my favorite time of year. The changing colors, the hunting seasons, and the spawning of Kokanee. With little regard to world events, time marches on for a myriad of species.
From this location and others around the state, some three million eggs are collected annually to help boost populations in a handful of other lakes. Huge thanks to all the conservation organizations, donors, game & fish folks, and everyone else involved in the effort to ensure future generations can witness the annual pilgrimage.
