An Easter egg find

They definitely prefer a home with a view but I don't recall ever seeing a nest higher than this.
 
They nest in holes on high river Brakes and clifts, sometimes 100's of feet above the water.
Yun to watch them crash into the life then claw their way into the hole...
 
The geese on my property need to figure this out, seems like most every year their ground nests gets robbed within days of hatching out.

Jumped a hen mallard today behind the house. Thought to myself what a terrible place to nest, coons are gonna have that nest for sure.
