Ammo for elk

Thanks for all the posts.I am very happy with the 150 gmx.Shoot at least 200 rounds and shoot good.

The GMX should do just fine. The only thing that you have to worry about is finding the elk!

Didn't know that, thanks! So what would be the advantage in modern BTs for elk? Less lead, less likelihood of bullet tip deformation?

Even it the core and jacket seperate, the tougher jacket is still 60% of the weight. Or put another way, 60% of the bullet is the tough stuff!
