American prairie. What's the issue?

Had it not, we would have to hope that AP vs BLM would end up the case law for not deferring to an agency’s interpretation…

"No statutory language or judicial precedent exists that requires a livestock operation to focus exclusively on production and entirely ignore conservation, range improvement, preservation, or other values," he wrote.
Tell that to every rancher running their cattle on the public…. 😡 🤬
That means there’s no legal requirement. But ranchers have their bottom line to think about.

What seems to be skewed or absent from many perspectives is that a mere 900 bison are grazing on the totality of AP lands, while many, many happy ranchers are grazing many thousands of cattle on AP lands, with optimum production and a nice "bottom line". Furthermore, as the judge points to, BLM is a federal agency with the requirement to promote and enact the interests of all Americans ... not just ranchers! "Conservation, range management, preservation" are merely a few of those many interests important to promote on public lands. It seems this judge understands the original and base intent of the Taylor Grazing Act.
