Am I crazy or would you agree... solitude v success

Modest idea: I would hunt to a place with a lower success rates in exchange for a less crowding. I would swap some odds of success for having fewer people hunting the same space. Is this illogical? What's the threshold?
Very logical in my opinion. Our zones might even overlap.

I encountered someone in a spot I hunt for the first time in 15+ years opening weekend. Talked with him and he chose to go there because of e scouting.

Buddy I took out shot a buck at first light. The other guy saw nothing. Gotta know the country.

100%.

Solo, Solo, Solo

There are some HTer's I would hunt with, but they wouldn't invite me back. What with the snoring and shooting dinks.

Being around people sucks worse. Imo.
To a point...

I have gone entire seasons, back to back even, in the Great Deer Desert of Chelan County without seeing a deer of any kind, and that has reduced my desire to hunt to the point where I effectively didn't this year. Yet I've never seen another hunter in the field.

We talk about this in hunters Ed. The five stages of hunting. Most hunters experience the different stages, at their own pace. It is possible to be in different stages in a season, or even a day. I know I’ve left the house just wanting to shoot and shoot some more and an hour in I’m just sitting on a log watching birds and don’t care if I lift up my gun anymore. https://www.boone-crockett.org/five-stages-hunter-hunt-fair-chase

1. The limiting out stage
2. The shooting stage
3. The method stage
4. The sportsman stage
5. The trophy stage

Have you considered hunting somewhere else?

Ive found my myself in different stages of that depending on what game I'm pursuing all in the same season.

I find myself seeking solitude more and more. I try to achieve this by going at off times, like during the week, to harder to reach places, or to places I know there are less game and therefore less people. For me the epitome of this is during the ice fishing season when I will purposefully go to an area that is a1/2 mile or more from the crowd but soon enough another angler walks over and drills there holes within 20 yards of me. I pretty much quit duck hunting on public land because of other hunters who would set up within 100 yards and shoot at any duck that was remotely thinking about working your spread. Even on days when a limit was had it was not pleasurable to me.
