Find a willow with some young shoots or new growth. Using the edge of your knife scrape the bark off and collect about a large teaspoon of the scrapings. Make sure to scrape it all the way down to the woody part, chew the bark and allow as much saliva to gather and mix as possible and keep the slurry around the tooth for as long as you can get it to produce. Swallow some of the saliva if you like; won't hurt you and is excellent for headaches.

My grandpa used asprin, he would put a tablet on his tooth and close his jaw down on it until it dissolved and then he drank all the alcohol he could to get that taste out of his mouth. He claimed it worked but man asprin is nasty when you don't use enough water to swallow it. Good luck Oak.

Yeah. I lost eyebrows for nearly a year on that trick way back when, which is tough on a 10 year old in grade school...not recommended.
