hey there, we are planning a elk hunt in to the absaroka wilderness this fall in montana, anyone here been in there or have any info. about this area to help me start researching the area. please e-mail if you can [email protected]

What areas are you thinking about hunting? How do you plan to access this area, foot, horse, or outfitter? I have hunted these mountains for Moose, Goats, and Sheep in the past few years, but not for elk. Beautiful country, but there are pros and cons about any area you pick, and what kind of hunt you are looking for. Tags are not guarenteed unless you go through an outfitter. Is this the plan? More info Please.

we have preference, and hopefully we get a tag this year. i will be taking my own stock and plan on hunting w/ horses and leaving from jardine, mt. we just starting looking and planned on the hell roaring ck area, email me [email protected]
