I got a Rio Grande here after many scouting trips and the second weekend of hunting him. I used the new 3.5 inch #4, which is a real mean shell. We mostly have those in Texas. Some easterns are in east Texas though.

has some pictures under turkey. He's my biggest ever, 10 13/16 inch beard and 1 3/16 inch spurs. Would that be big for you?
:D

Tom, that's a nice healthy lookin bird, going by the spurs he was a 3 yr old. I am still seing alot of birds near my home everyday, I jest wished I had time to hunt em.

Again, congrats on a good Rio...... :D AA

Thats a great looking bird Tom. What did he weigh?? The turkeys we saw while we were down there looked to pretty close to the same size of our eastern birds.

I got that bird's big brother on the last weekend. There's more pictures at the same place, the first 5 are from the first turkey, the second five are from the second one. They weighed in the low 20s but I don't know what, the taxidermist just guessed 23.

That's some fine looking birds, You are looking way to happy. Must be a momentus occasion I am missing....HAHAHA!!!!
Good goint and congrats!!! :D :D :D
