I inherited this rifle from a guy that was like a dad to me in 1995. He spent the last days of the service in the VA Hospital in Walla Walla, Wash, he was wounded in the Pacific. He got out and had this rifle made, a gift to himself. 1903 Springfield built by Paul Jaeger in 1949, year before I was born! This really is the finest rifle I've ever seen. Have never taken it hunting but this is the year, my elk rifle. Have always worried about dinging it up, well those days are gone.

Classic Americana right there and from a gunsmith who was revered for good reason. Love it!

I have a couple of sporterized springfields in the safe, but their place is really in the woods hunting! Good luck with it.

Mr. Jaeger's works are quite coveted. Your's for even better reasons.

Beautiful rifle.
