I’ll admit, my own reaction might have been no different—I’m not above losing my temper. But a pastor is called to demonstrate a higher level of grace and self-control. Handling the conflict with wisdom and compassion could have changed the outcome entirely.

Even God lost his patience with humanity a time or two.

The neighbor that is complaining is the same neighbor that has been harassing this guys family and congregation for years. The same neighbor who has had numerous complaints levied against them with nothing done because of family ties with local law enforcement.

Not to mention the heat index at 4 AM here is in the mid 80’s and this is a fairly common practice down here. Well, maybe not 4 A.M. but really common in the 5:30 to 6 time frame. I weedeated this morning starting at 5:45.

Woooo dude. You just crossed a line. You don’t know me, and probably don’t know many here.

You’ve made so many jumps and lost your cool. Based upon your reaction you say you’re a Christian. Are you following?

Two key verses that fit your reaction and this situation… 1 Peter 3:9 and Matthew 7:1-2

We still don’t know, and never will, the whole story. At this point it seems they’re both in the wrong from my perspective. Are you excusing the man’s statements?
