Maybe BIL is so deep in debt that he's living paycheck to paycheck and getting deeper every month.

Stepdad was a big time "Book learning is for fools" guy. Would get mad if I happened to use a new "fancy word" around the house.

Also believed wearing magnets in his clothing cured cancer.

Also...died of throat cancer at age 65.

Though I was a high school dropout due to leaving home at 15, I eventually got my MSME from Georgia Tech. The stupid shit ignorant fuchs say about engineering makes me think of him. Pure Dunning-Kruger.

Every day in one way or another. Engineers are sharp, almost wish I had become one, but it would be easier to get Hitler to enjoy a knish at a Bar Mitzvah than have an engineer admit a mistake and correct it
