I say crap like this straight faced to my wife all the time - it is a small miracle we are still married. A very patient woman. All kinds of good ideas - like buying old kid toys made when lead paint was legal to save on future college costs, force ranking our kids, having 3 kids but picking and keeping the best two kids so we were an optimized 4 person family - got rejected every time
