I made it to our place in time for the afternoon hunt in NE Louisiana. We had three on stand. Each of us killed a doe, two with compounds and one with a crossbow.
The fun started when we put my buddies Bavarian Mountain Hound on the track. He found all three with no problem. Distances were 150, 175, and 250. Two arrows didn’t pass through and the deer were in young trees and tall grass. There wasn’t much blood hitting the ground on those two, so finding them without the blood dog would’ve been tough.
