I finally got around to editing a hunt with my daughter who is now almost 17, but was 12 at the time. She's killed some really bigger bucks since, but this was her first mule deer buck.
We came close the first evening but couldn't get a shot, and the herd got spooked by her younger brother and sister screwing around behind us! The next day I picked her and her siblings up from the bus stop and figured we'd check that field that he had been in on the way home. Sure enough he was there again, but this time I left the two younger munchkins in the truck while we headed out to put the sneak on this buck. She ended up making a stellar shot and doubled up on a doe as well! Lots of fun and good memories!
