It has been a slow waterfowl year so far around here. Went out this morning with my son, my brother and nephew. It was a slow start and then the geese finally started coming, no big honkers, but any goose is good in my book. The shooting wasn't stellar on our part:(, but in the end it was a good day. We ended just three birds short of a limit.:)

Days like those are fun. It may start out slow, but like I tell my son..."it only takes another 5 minutes and it could mean the difference from a so-so day, to an day you`ll never forget!" Congrats on a good hunt!

Congrats on the short necks. I hate those little cackling bastages, they come off in flocks of 300 and are a PITA to get into the deeks.

Beats no geese.

I get pretty jealous sometimes seeing your pics of the big honkers, we get some big birds around here and when we do it's a real treat, but this area has lots of small geese, oh well better than pigeons or crows I guess.
